Olivia + Chris, The Estate on Second

Chairs were set in the Crystal Ballroom all angled towards a flower covered arbor framed in by the center Palladian window at The Estate on Second. Orange, pink and white florals intermingled with greenery as sunlight seeped in through soft, draped curtains and sparkling chandeliers hung elegantly overhead. Everything was ready for Chris and Olivia’s wedding.

Chris could hear Olivia’s footsteps as she approached him in the Attic for their highly anticipated first look. He was dressed in a charcoal suit with teal tie, perfectly matching his groomsmen. Olivia wore an off the shoulder, a-line wedding gown that gracefully swayed with each step she took closer and closer to Chris. Just as the wait became almost too much to bear, Olivia tapped Chris’ shoulder and he turned around to see his beautiful bride standing before him. Their eyes met and love immediately radiated from their smiles. The two spent a brief moment alone before joining their bridesmaids and groomsmen for photos, then lining up for the ceremony.

The list of attendees was limited to the closest friends and family of the bride and groom making the day even more intimate and special. Guests found their seats inside as the ceremony music cued up. Chris was the first to walk out, followed by each bridesmaid and groomsman. Last but not least, everyone stood when the bride walked out arm in arm with her father. At the head of the aisle, Chris and Olivia recited their vows, exchanged wedding rings and sealed the deal with a sweet kiss. The newlyweds then exited the Crystal Ballroom and snuck away for cocktail hour photos around the venue.

Filet & Wild Mushroom Wellingtons, Fig, Goat Cheese & Mascarpone Tarts, and Crab Cakes with mango papaya salsa were individually plated and snacked on as guests waited for the newlyweds return. While cocktail hour continued, Olivia and Chris partook in a traditional tea ceremony with their family, then invited everyone to join them back inside for dances and their cake cutting. Grand entrances were made and Chris and Olivia shared their first dance as husband and wife as guests oohed and aahed from the sidelines. The newlyweds thanked everyone for coming to celebrate their special day, then cut their wedding cake before heading outside for an al fresco dinner experience.

Tables were lined up family style and draped in ivory linen with mint table runners. Eucalyptus and bright orange roses were placed near each place setting adding a pop of color to the reception, and the newlywed’s sweetheart table was set in front of our wrought iron gates. Only the closest of family and friends was invited to the outdoor dinner reception, but the guests who left early got to take home their choice of Mesquite Smoked Salmon with Basmati Rice Salad, Grilled Broccolini and Gourmet Lemon Square or Lemon Thyme Chicken with Summer in Tuscany Pasta Salad, Tangerine and Pecan Salad and Chocolate Raspberry Decadence. Meals were pre-selected by our Event Specialist, Sierra, along with Olivia and Chris during their planning process and rave reviews were shared on their wedding day. Guests who stayed for the dinner reception were served Pear & Walnut Salad, Chicken Benevolenza, Short Rib Rotolo Bolzano, Green Beans Almondine, and Red Roasted Garlic Potatoes. Toasts were shared while everyone enjoyed their dinner, and at the end of the night, the bride and groom were sent off in an uproar of cheers.
