Built in 1923, the ballroom has original chandeliers, exposed brick walls, tall Palladian windows, and the kind of architecture that makes people stop when they walk in. The space sets a tone that says ‘this matters’ before anyone reaches the podium.

With the ability to host up to 175 guests, The Estate on Second is perfect for fundraisers, nonprofit events, award ceremonies, holiday galas, and more. From the moody Speakeasy where cocktails are poured and hors d’oeuvres are enjoyed, to the grand Crystal Ballroom, the venue’s spaces work together throughout the evening providing exciting backdrops each step of the way.

The Estate on Second is operated by Jay's Catering, a third-generation, family-run business with over 50 years of experience in the catering and event industry. The Estate on Second may be a recent addition to Orange County’s hospitality scene, but its historic structure has been located in the heart of Santa Ana since 1923. What began as a building to house the Southern Counties Gas Company, has transitioned from office to restaurant and much more. Once we laid eyes on this historic, magnificent building, starting our own venue made perfect sense.

Over the years, exposed beams and worn brick have shaped the building’s resilient framework. Tiles and wood floors from a previous life mark the entryway that leads into a grand room full of arched, Palladian windows flooding the area with natural light.
