Historic Wedding Venue in Orange County

Built in 1923. Original brick, wood beams, windows they don't make anymore.

Orange County doesn't have a lot of history left. Most of it got torn down for strip malls.

The Estate on Second is still standing. Built in 1923 as the Southern Counties Gas Company headquarters, the building spent a century as offices, a restaurant, and more before Jay's Catering saw what it could become.

They restored it right. The worn brick is original. The wood beams are original. The Palladian windows flooding the rooms with natural light — original. Georgian Colonial architecture that photographs like nowhere else in the county.

No fake patina. No reclaimed wood accent walls. A hundred years of real history in every surface. The Crystal Ballroom hosts up to 175 under chandeliers. The Attic offers hardwood floors and intimate scale. The Terrace and Veranda give you outdoor space with downtown views.

Jay's Catering designed the venue and runs the catering. Third generation, since 1967. One team handles everything from the first tour to the last plate cleared.

The Estate on Second may be a recent addition to Orange County’s hospitality scene, but its historic structure has been located in the heart of Santa Ana since 1923. What began as a building to house the Southern Counties Gas Company, has transitioned from office to restaurant and much more. Once we laid eyes on this historic, magnificent building, starting our own venue made perfect sense.

Over the years, exposed beams and worn brick have shaped the building’s resilient framework. Tiles and wood floors from a previous life mark the entryway that leads into a grand room full of arched, Palladian windows flooding the area with natural light.
