Picture Perfect Pink Baby Shower

It was a beautiful afternoon to celebrate Itzel and Rey and their little baby girl to come, Camila, at The Estate on Second. Pink chairs and white tables were positioned family style inside the Crystal Ballroom while bouquets of orchids, hydrangeas, rosebuds and other flowers sat in glass vases down the center of each table. Pink linen napkins and pink goblet cups were added to each place setting for a pop of color resembling their baby girl. Guests arrived to tray passed hors d’oeuvres including Polote topped with grilled corn, cotija cheese, red onion, cilantro and creamy chipotle sauce, Elote Corn Salad tossed with lime and crema dressing, and Jay’s Famous Tortilla Chips and Homemade Salsa. The bar was serving beer, wine and mimosas by way of clever names like, “Team No Sleep,” “Milk Wasted” and “Ready to Pop.” Guests were encouraged to write down advice for Rey and Itzel and give their life wisdom to baby Camila by writing down things they hope she learns, loves, experiences etc. Once everyone settled in, the games began! From beer baby bottle chugging contests to baby bingo, there was never a dull moment at this baby shower. More delicious food was served including Beef Picadillo Empanadas, Chicken Enchiladas with tomatillo sauce, Barbacoa Shredded Beef, Black Beans, Spanish Rice and Sweet Corn Cake and a tasty sweet treat cart was stationed near our Palladian windows for guests to graze upon. To end the baby shower, Itzel and Rey cut into cake with a fun sparkler after saying a few words to their friends and family.
