Christie + Alexander, The Estate on Second

With finishing touches complete, it was only a matter of time until Christie and Alexander would be able to finally see each other on their wedding day. Christie wore a beautiful lace dress and Alexander was suited up in black. The couple could hardly wait for the ceremony, but their families kept them occupied with group photos before their big reveal. While photos were being taken, guests began arriving at The Estate on Second. Everyone signed the bride and groom’s guest book, then headed into the Crystal Ballroom where floral pillars marked the ceremony space and greenery and candles lined the aisle. Once all guests were accounted for, the music cued up and Alexander excitedly took his spot at the head of the aisle. Everyone stood as Christie walked out beaming from ear to ear when she finally saw her soon to be husband for the first time that day. Once joined together, the bride and groom read personalized vows, poured sand symbolizing the blending of their families, exchanged rings, and sealed the ceremony with a kiss.

Friends and family made their way to cocktail hour where Crab Cakes, Filet and Wild Mushroom Wellingtons and Thai Chicken Spring Rolls were tray passed around the room and the newlywed’s signature cocktails; a Cosmo and Cadillac Margarita were being poured. Alexander and Christie took this time to pose for newlywed portraits outside with their photographer and get a first look at the reception setup. Guests mixed and mingled, played the piano, and relaxed at the lounge until it was time for dinner. A mirror seating chart helped guests find their assigned tables and lead them back into the Crystal Ballroom for the reception.

Tables were topped with greenery runners and floating tea candles and each table setting was complete with a personalized thank you card for guests. Once everyone was seated, Christie and Alexander made their grand entrance into their first dance, then took a seat at their sweetheart table. A dinner of Santorini Chicken, Vegetarian Rotolo Bolzano, Red Roasted Garlic Potatoes, Green Beans and Pear and Walnut Salad was served and toasts from friends and family drew laughs from the crowd. The menu was selected by the bride and groom with help from our Event Specialist, Lauren. After, the bride and groom cut into their white cake with raspberry creme filling and invited their guests to indulge in our Gourmet Dessert Collection with a collection of Mini Lemon Curd Tarts, Berry Champagne Macarons, Raspberry Chocolate Decadence, Mini Carrot Cupcakes, and Caramel Cream with Lemon Curd and Praline Crisp Dessert Shots. Full of love (and dinner and dessert), everyone hit the dance floor. Many congratulations were shared, and guests made sure to stop by the photo booth with the bride and groom for a photo before the night ended. One last dance ended the evening, and everyone left with sweet memories to last a lifetime.
